Missionaries What!?

Hi all!! :)

So this week was long and crazy, the Temple Open House has officially opened to the public and the people have just been pouring in! it's Awesome! :) With so many people going through though we have to be there Every day which isn't too bad it just throws us off sometimes, were working on it though! So it's all good and we know that the Lord is here to help us and He will bless us :) <3

We did the VIP tours last week and we got to show the introduction video to Elder D. Todd Christofferson and his family O_O it was so cool!!!!! And Incredibly never racking!!!! But it was really good :) oh! and Elder L. Tom Perry was there too! I didn't see him, even though he was right there! I was taking someone's picture so I missed him! But he stopped to talk with some other sister missionaries and asked them how the work was going and to not go to bed until they teach 20 lessons O_O AH!!! So now I feel it's even more important to teach 20 lessons a week.  Elder Russel M. Nelson was there too! I saw him walk by, he was in a hurry though and didn't stop to talk with anyone. And M. Russel Ballard was there too!!! Him I did not see but the other sisters did :) it was so cool :) I love my mission!!! such amazing things happen All the time! :) <3

So because we have a different shift every day p-days are going to be crazy, but we still wanted to spend time together as a zone, so last night we had an FHE (Family Home Evening) and we did Zumba. :) It was Awesome!! haha There's a Recent Convert who lives in the other sisters area who is a zumba instructor and she came and taught us! I'm gonna be honest it was pretty funny to see all the Elders doing zumba :) But they were pretty good at it to be fair and so was everyone else really. :) So now she's going to do zumba with us once a week in the morning!! I'm so excited!! And the elders said after that they're never going to make fun of zumba again! :) haha

We also found this really awesome guy from Brazil and we're hopefully going to start teaching him and his family! I'm pretty excited about that!!! :) So lots of things happening and experiences to be remembered for life :) oh! that reminds me! ok so Sunday after Sacrament meeting the ward mission leader comes up to us and asks "are you two staying for class? what are your plans today?" we were like, what do you need? and he says "can you teach gospel principles?" O_O Sure! we say. O_O So no preparation at all and we go and teach this class, luckily it was on the Sacrament which is something we teach to people anyways :) so that was good. haha and that's life as a missionary right now. Crazy-exciting twist & turns that you never see coming :) and I'm loving every minute of it! ;) Have a Great week everyone!!!! (sorry theres no picture this week I forgot my camera cord XD)

Super Advice! Hope it helps! =)

What you should Remember
Alright you future Missionaries you listen up. There is something very important that you need to know before you go on the adventure called Missionary work as a Full-time Missionary. You CAN DO IT!! =) God loves you and cares for you Always! You Need to Remember that even though this is hard work, you're doing because God loves you and you love Him! (that should be at least a big reason that you go, I think) Just remember All is Well and if you are doing you're best that's what counts. =) Having faith in the Lord means you trust him with everything even when you don't understand. So just be yourself and don't worry what other people say, you know why you're here and you know what your doing even if it doesn't always feel that way. Just be a good person and you'll do great! =) It's hard but it's definitely Not Any harder than what the Savior went through. Don't be discouraged! Pray and study the Scriptures! You already know the Gospel! That's why you want to share it! But continue to study and learn and grow and you will be blessed! =) You're amazing! Never forget that God is Love.

Ok now onto other things, seriously remember to bring Lots of pens and note books, some small and some normal. Because you'll want to carry a small notebook for meetings and such but it's also nice to have a big study journal=) and make sure you can budget money wisely! No joke! You only get so much every month and that it! Unless you have a personal card that you're willing to use. Also stationary and stamps, emailing is wonderful but sometimes it's better to have a hard copy of whats been going on and to know how you're loved. =) That way you can look back and read them at night or in the morning to give you that extra boost you may need to get through the day or week. You never know, maybe you'll even share something someone wrote you with an investigator or just someone on the street and it could make their day! =) Make sure you make the most of your time at the MTC, it's such a wonderful place and you only get to be there for a short time so make it count! =) Ok that's all for now I'll try and think if there's anything else, which I'm sure there is because that's how life works, there's always more =) Ok Love ya!

All my love, <3 <3

Ogden!!

Hi All!!! :)

So Sorry its been like 3 weeks, life as a missionary is crazy! :)
So my companion is from Texas, we live in a basement apartment of a members home which interesting..... Ogden is beautiful! Trees!!!! :) Love them! and they provide actual shade and protection from the sun! WHAT!! :) I know! It's the best!! lol The very first lesson we taught was to this 81 year old lady who we invited to be baptized and said no, but that she would pray and think about it and continue to read/listen to the Book of Mormon! So that's good! :) The food here is ok.....I'm really glad I get to go shopping though! lol Oh, and the mission President is in my area! Crazy! In fact this past Sunday I gave my first talk as a missionary in their ward!! Talk about nerve racking!! :/ But they weren't there, they were in Idaho, so it wasn't that bad :) it was still kinda scary though to be honest. I'm in the Weber Stake which is apparently the second oldest stake in the church so that's cool :)

We have a mission conference on the 20th and there's going to be a General authority there Elder Callister of the 2nd Quoram of the Seventy!!! :) CARZY!!! I'm so excited!! And guess what?! President Hiers is already working on whats going to happen when the Ogden Temple opens in April! :) (well hopfully april) So Yay! Fingers crossed I will be involved!! :) Also there's a HUGE meeting in a couple weeks in salt lake that The Prophet has asked Everyone to attend so its being broadcast here.

We're going to the mall today with one of the young women who's preparing to go on a misison to the Philippines so that should be fun :)

Ok I think that's all for now. Oh! pazookies are the best!!! ;)
Ok until next time! Love you all!!! :)

Awesome MTC Adventures!!

Hello!! =)
So Adventures at the MTC! <3 The cafeteria is huge! The people are absolutely the BEST! They're so Amazing! So I'm not really sure what I was expecting it to be like, but it's still awesome! =) So it is hard but not in the way you would think it is (at least not in the way I thought it would be..).  But everything is OK! =) The bookstore has like almost, if not everything you could possibly need! Shirts, snacks, ziploc bags, paper, envelopes, and all kinds of stuff! It's crazy!

My District is Awesome! The BEST! =) I'm having such a good time! I do recommend Not forgetting things though. Make like 3 check lists, put it on the fridge, by your bed, on your mirror.. and pack the day before you leave unless you can pack sooner! =) If you come to the Provo MTC you HAVE to smell the cream soda tree!!! It's amazing!=)Make sure you read, read, and re-read the dress and grooming site.

It's SO AMAZING here!!I'm learning SO much it's crazy! There's like 3,000 Missionaries here it's so wonderful!!!! I Love it here! Anyone thinking about going on a mission, I'm not going to tel you to go, but you should seriously consider it. =)

Oh my goodness! my companion is Awesome! She put a letter in the mailbox, you know the big blue boxes, and then she read the note that said international postage went up so the letter didn't have enough stamps so we go to the bookstore and mail room to ask if there's a anything we/they could do to get it back to put more stamps on it, because it was really important that it get to the recipient on time and the people in the bookstore said wait out the mailman! =) So at around the the he was supposed to come we sat on the benched near the mail box and waited and waited for like 30 minutes it felt like. Eventually we had to give up and go to class so my companion left a note with stamps in it for the mail person asking if they would put the stamps on it! She described the envelope and everything! It was Awesome!! =)

The Temple is so pretty, we all went on a Sunday walk to the Temple and it was Awesome! We took pictures and just had such an amazing time! It's crazy how close it is we seriously just walk across the street and wham! You're there! Lol! =) The gym is huge and so is the campus! It's so beautiful! =) <3 I Love it! <3 The Elders here are so amazing! They like take our trays at meal times and gave everyone in our district a blessing it was so nice! =) So everyone except for me and Elders Croy and Mika are going to Minnesota, Minneapolis, and so yeah it's awesome! =) We discovered that of the sisters, I had to wait the least amount of time from when I got my call and Elders Croy and Mika, got their calls at the beginning of April! Crazy! =) We all got to the MTC the same day so yeah.. Pretty amazing stuff =)

Ok I have to go, talk to you soon! <3 =)

Called to Serve!!!

I'm serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!! I'm so excited I can't stop smiling!! I'm so grateful for all the wonderful people around me that have helped me prepare to serve! I feel truly blessed! I will be entering the missionary training center (MTC) on May 15th and then will move on to labor in the Ogden Utah area for the remainder of my mission! I am so excited, I've never been on a plane before or been to Utah so this is a big adventure for me!

The day after I received my mission call it was sunday and I was in class and was asked to read a scripture it was D&C 31: 3 "Lift up your heart and rejoice, for the hour of your mission is come; and your tongue shall be loosed, and you shall declare glad tidings of great joy unto this generation" It was so exciting!! How perfect!! I was sitting with my friend who was also preparing to leave to serve a mission and we both poured over the section in excitement!! It was awesome!!

When we arrived at the airport to fly to Salt Lake we met a friend unexpectedly, it was so exciting because we ended up being on the same flight!! How cool, we had no idea that we would be flying together, it worked out great!! It's amazing how the Lord works.

Utah is so different, there are no trees, you can see for miles! There are Temples and church buildings everywhere!! It's awesome!! I can't wait to get to Ogden where they are currently reconstructing the Ogden temple it would be so cool if it opens before my mission is over. That would be so exciting!
